Co-host Oman has won the toss and elected to field in the T20 World Cup first-round Group B game against debutant Papua New Guinea on Sunday. Five years ago, Oman pulled the rabbit out of the hat when they beat Ireland in its opening T20 World Cup game in India. The bowlers have already vindicated their skipper's decision to bowl first by removing the PNG openers in no time. The onus is now on captain Assad Vala to steady the rapidly sinking ship.
A fantastic toss to win for captain Zeeshan as he opts to bowl first! 🔥👌— Oman Cricket (@TheOmanCricket) October 17, 2021
