The keenly-awaited ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will get off the ground on October 17 with Oman crossing swords against Papua New Guinea. It will be a doubleheader on the opening day with Bangladesh facing Scotland later. PNG are heading into the match on the back of consecutive losses in the warm-up games while Oman have had a much better run in the unofficial games leading to the marquee event. Runs may be hard to come by on the slow surface and it will thus be a test of character for the two minnows.
