Juggling efforts at the boundary rope are the new norm in top-flight cricket. And Adelaide Strikers’ Bridget Patterson came up with a scintillating grab on the mid-wicket fence to approve the notion. Sydney Thunders’ Isabelle Wong struck an off-break towards cow corner and it seemed like the slog had enough power to just about clear the rope, although Patterson had other ideas. She caught the ball in her outstretched right hand before throwing the ball back into play to complete a smart catch.
