Eoin Morgan had been in terrible nick throughout the Indian Premier League 2021, and he was denied a longer stay at the crease in the finale too as Deepak Chahar completed an uber-cool juggling effort on the backward square leg fence. Morgan timed the pull off the screws, though there wasn’t adequate elevation on the shot as Chahar intercepted the flat hit before parring it back into play to finish the formalities. Morgan was Kolkata’s last resort in the steep 193-run chase and their hopes took a beating with the skipper’s departure.
