The Mumbai Indians beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 41 runs in the IPL on Friday, ending their campaign on a positive note but missing out on a play-off spot. Mumbai needed to claim victory by a massive 171 runs if they were to progress to the next stage, and looked like they might come close when Ishan Kishan was smashing it to all parts for his 84 off 32. The unsuccessful chase for the Sunrisers brought to a welcome end what has been a rather tortured season.
