Sunrisers Hyderabad fought their way back into the contest against the Mumbai Indians on Friday, taking three important wickets to stem what was a rapid flow of runs. Mumbai needed to win the game by a massive 171 runs to give themselves a chance of making the final play-off spot. Ishan Kishan got them off to the perfect start, smashing 84 off just 32 deliveries as his side eased beyond 100 inside 8 overs. However, they then lost Kishan, Pollard and Neesham in quick succession to make their task even tougher.
