A golden opportunity to nip Delhi Capitals’ chasing endeavour in the bud went begging as Krishnappa Gowtham dropped an absolute sitter at long-on to reprieve Shimron Hetmyer. Delhi had pinned their hopes on the left-hander after losing wickets in a heap during the middle-overs, and Hetmyer was up to the task. He was keeping Delhi afloat in what proved to be a tense low-scoring thriller, but he wouldn’t have been able to emerge as the hero had Gowtham caught the dolly off Dwayne Bravo.
