Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant on Monday won the toss and invited Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men to bat first at the Dubai International Stadium. Hard-hitter Ripal Patel has been handed his debut as the teams fight to seal their spot as a protagonist in Qualifier 1. Patel is an explosive middle-order batter, exemplified by his T20 career strike rate of 190, and a sly medium pacer. He made his List A and T20 debuts for Gujarat in 2019 and since then has played 20 matches for his state, contributing with bat and ball.
