In pursuit of 135, openers Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad stitched their sixth 50+ opening stand of the season. Wickets falling in a heap during the middle overs allowed panic to creep in, but quickfire cameos from Ambati Rayudu and skipper Dhoni helped CSK to win the match by 6 wickets in hands.
