Smriti Mandhana looked in superb touch on day one of the one-off pink-ball Test against Australia in Queensland, moving into the 80s with this hugely authoritative pull shot for four. It characterised a rather serene start for India, with Shafali Verma the only wicket to fall for 31 before rain stopped play again after the first break. Mandhana had up to today made two fifties in the three Test matches she had played, but her 80 not out is already her highest score in the format.
