(Video) Australia make first breakthrough after strong India start in pink ball Test

India’s women started brilliantly in the one-off, pink-ball Test match against Australia at the Metricon Stadium in Queensland. Openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma looked in excellent nick, the former reaching 64 not out off 112 balls at dinner. Verma, the 17-year-old batting sensation who hit 96 in her first ever innings of Test cricket against England, fell for 31 at the hands of Sophie Molineux. India reached the break 101/1 off 33 overs, with Punam Raut taking to the crease.
