Jos Buttler has explained how sorry he felt for Pakistan's fans and players after the ECB released a statement declaring England were no longer to play two Twenty20 Internationals in the country at the start of next month. As per the Daily Mirror, Buttler stated that he hopes to tour the country for the first time in 2022, when England are scheduled to travel there again.
There seemed to be some regret at the outcome in Buttler's words, mentioning that it was "unfortunate" that the time was not right and that the ECB "made their decision". England's abandonment of the tour has sparked considerable tension between the two boards, with PCB chairman Ramiz Raja feeling particularly let down by the affair.
