Rishabh Pant is to continue as captain of the Delhi Capitals when the IPL resumes in the UAE, as per the Hindustan Times. The Capitals are currently top of the table with six wins from eight, and play their first game of the tournament's resumption on 22 September against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shreyas Iyer, the former skipper who missed the first leg of the IPL with a shoulder injury, has returned to the squad fully fit. After a difficult tour of England for Pant, Ricky Ponting's words in April on the growth captaincy can offer to the wicketkeeper-batsman's all-round game ring truer than ever.
