In a heartwarming nostalgic tribute posted by the ICC, pundits were effusive in their praise of Sri Lankan virtuoso Lasith Malinga, who recently bid adieu to the T20I format after having already walked out of the other two formats earlier. Malinga, who took a total of 546 wickets across all formats for Sri Lanka, bowled with a peculiar slingy action as his dipping slower yorkers and toe-crushers made life very difficult for batsmen across the globe.
βHe transformed the game in the sense that no one before or since has bowled the yorker with the accuracy that Lasith has done.β
