Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga took to Twitter to announce retirement from all forms of the sport on Tuesday. Malinga, who took a total of 546 wickets across all formats for Sri Lanka, had already retired from Test cricket in 2011 and ODIs in 2019 but continued to feature in the shortest format of the game for the national side. The paceman bowled with a peculiar slingy action, with his dipping slower yorkers and toe-crushers making life very difficult for batsmen across the globe.
