(Photo) Azeem Rafiq provides statement highlighting “atrocious” nature of investigation

Azeem Rafiq has released a statement on his Twitter account in response to Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s release of a summary of the report into institutional racism at the club. Rafiq, a two-time Yorkshire player, was found to have been the victim of racism and bullying but only seven of the 43 allegations made were upheld. It was declared that there was “insufficient evidence” the club was institutionally racist. Rafiq’s statement described the handling of the process as “atrocious”, and repeated a now widespread desire for the full report to be published and accountability assumed.
