The seventh edition of the Women’s Big Bash League is set to kick-start on 14 October, with the season opener between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars promising to be an absolute crackerjack of a contest. A fresh concept has been introduced in the upcoming WBBL, which will reward the team topping the group stage with direct entry into the final while the teams in second to fourth will compete to join them in two play-off matches, as per ESPNCricinfo.
