(Video) Hampshire heroically dig in to keep Yorkshire at bay

Hampshire batted with real grit on day four of their Division One County Championship match against Yorkshire at the Ageas Bowl. The home side’s opening 163 fell short of Yorkshire’s total of 243. The visitors then put on 312-6 declared with Hampshire clinging on for dear life from thereon in. Mason Crane, the nightwatchman, was amongst the heroes, as he batted for nearly four hours, eating up almost 200 deliveries. The leg-spinner was joined by James Vince’s obdurate 42 and finally the pairing of Kyle Abbott and Brad Wheal, who saw off the closing 7.3 overs with just one wicket to spare.
