On the 29th August 2017, Shai Hope became the first man in the history of the game to score two centuries in a first-class match at Headingley, hitting 147 and 118* to secure a famous win for the West Indies over England. It was the visitors' first Test victory there since 2000, and it came in remarkable fashion. The tourists were set a mammoth 322 to win, and chased it down with five wickets to spare to write their names into legend. Hope himself has not built on those performances perhaps to the extent that was expected, given many suggested he would rise to the very top of the game after displaying such a sound yet watchable batting technique.
