(Photo) KL Rahul works in the nets straight after Headingley loss

On the same afternoon that India had lost by an innings and 76 runs to England in the third Test match at Headingley, KL Rahul went straight back to work in the nets. It demonstrated the exceptional attitude of a batter who, having come into this series as arguably India’s fourth-choice opener, has no desire to step out of the side when the likes of Shubman Gill return. Rahul, having impressed hugely up until the Headingley Test, did not match his own standards for the series, making 0 and 8 as England’s seam bowlers clicked in resounding fashion.
