(Video) On the sixth anniversary of his retirement, re-live Michael Clarke’s match-winning over at the SCG

Michael Clarke retired on this day in 2015, along with teammate Chris Rogers, to call time on a stellar career both as captain of Australia and one of the world’s premier batsmen. Clarke played 115 Tests for his country, scoring 8643 runs at an average of 49.10 including 28 hundreds. One of his fondest memories in the whites, though, will surely be with ball in hand. On day five of Australia’s second Test with India at the SCG in 2008, Ricky Ponting handed Clarke the ball with three wickets required for victory. Clarke took two in two, before dismissing Ishant Sharma to win the game in unbelievable fashion.
