Tim David produced one of the catches of the Hundred at the perfect time as the Southern Brave took the early wicket of the opener Bedingham. Having produced some lovely shots during the Brave’s setting of 168, David travelled the sizeable distance his large frame necessitates to grab the ball before it died into the pitch, displaying incredible reactions. The wicket proved vital as well, as the Birmingham Phoenix stumbled in their chase, eventually falling 32 runs short and handing the inaugural men’s trophy to the Brave. It has been a tournament dominated by displays of jaw-dropping fielding, and this catch was right up there with the best.
