George Garton derailed the Trent Rockets before they could take flight, taking dangermen Alex Hales, Dawid Malan and Darcy Short out of the equation fairly early in the eliminator. While openers Malan and Hales nicked behind to perish for pedestrian scores, Short was undone by the lack of pace and spooned a dolly to mid-wicket.
