The newly-anointed chairman of selectors George Bailey was effusive in his praise of keeper bat Josh Inglis, who has earned a maiden call-up to Australia’s squad for the T20 World Cup scheduled to begin on 17 October.
Inglis scored 531 runs at 48.27 in the Vitality Blast for Leicestershire at a strike-rate of 175.82 including two centuries. Overnight he also thrashed his top score in the Hundred for London Spirit with 72 off 45 balls.
