ICC, cricket’s governing body, have laid out the fixtures for the T20 World Cup scheduled to commence from October 17. India will begin their campaign for a second T20 World title on October 24 in a blockbuster clash against old nemesis Pakistan in Dubai. Virat Kohli whose hunt for an ICC-accredited prize as captain continues at the senior level would be zealously desperate to bring the trophy to his cabinet.
India, the winners of the inaugural edition of the tournament, have been placed in Group 2 alongside Pakistan, Afghanistan and New Zealand. The Men in Blue will be joined by two teams from the qualifiers stage.
