Connor Esterhuizen hit a sparkling maiden ODI century while Duan Jansen picked an impressive four wickets as South Africa attained a massive 157-run victory over Namibia in the second ODI in Windhoek, sealing the three-match series with one game intact. Esterhuizen crafted 119 and found able support in Tony de Zorziβs 79 as South Africa posted 335/9 after being inserted. Namibia were then skittled out for 178 in 41.5 overs, with Jansen shining to be the pick of the bowlers and Ethan Bosch complementing him with for 3/27.
For the hosts, Gerhard Erasmus top-scored with 68. Apart from that, however, Namibiaβs pursuit quickly unravelled under fierce pressure from South Africaβs seamers, with Jansen and Bosch sharing the first five wickets. Namibia slumped to 35 for 5 in the 11th over and there was no prospect of recovery from that point onwards, as reflected in the heavy margin of defeat.
Brief scores: South Africa 335/9 in 50 overs (Connor Esterhuizen 119, Tony de Zorzi 79; Jack Brassell 4-64) beat Namibia 178 in 41.5 overs (Gerhard Erasmus 68; Duan Jansen 4-31, Eathan Bosch 3-27) by 157 runs.
