Uncapped bowler Momina Riasat has earned her maiden call-up to Pakistan’s women’s ODI squad after being drafted in the 15-member group for next month’s three-match home series against Zimbabwe in Karachi.
Fatima Sana will continue to marshal the troops in the ODIs, which are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29. Pakistan are currently placed fifth on the points table after their away series against South Africa earlier this year.
The selectors have retained a largely familiar core around Momina’s inclusion, with experienced campaigners such as Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Muneeba Ali and Sidra Amin also featuring in the squad.
Zimbabwe will arrive in Karachi on April 29 for their maiden women’s tour of Pakistan, with both sides scheduled to train from April 30 to May 3 ahead of the 50-over games.
The three ODIs are scheduled for May 4, 6 and 9, all in Karachi. A three-match T20I series will follow at the same venue on May 12, 14 and 15, with Pakistan’s squad for the slam-bang assignment to be announced later.
