As Lordโs turned Red for Ruth, England only added to the goodwill around the ground with two early wickets on the Friday morning of the second Test against India. KL Rahul, so watchful and solid on the drive on day one, fell to a fuller Ollie Robinson delivery, chipping it straight to Dom Sibley at extra.
Jimmy Anderson then weighed in with his very first ball of the day, a loosener in terms of its modest pace but right on the money, just back of a length and around fifth or sixth stump. Rahane very kindly held his bat out, nicking off to Joe Root at first slip. After such a difficult day in the field on Thursday, England will be desperate to get some sort of a grip on this Test match.
What a start to the day! ๐
