Ben Brown and Tom Haines entwined to knock the wind out of Middlesex’s sails in what was the final 50-over outing of the season for Sussex. The dashing duo shared a mammoth 219-run partnership to help their side stamp 334 on the board. It was ball-striking of the highest order as Ben peeled off eight boundaries while Haines’s 123 was laced with 11 fours and 4 sixes. However, Middlesex are on a rampage in riposte, with the scoreboard flashing 50 for none at the end of just the 7th over.
