Vidarbha made merry late on the fourth day at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur as Rest of India were reduced to an alarming 30 for 2, still 331 runs short of the finish line, after the Ranji champions were restricted to 232 in their second innings courtesy Anshul Kamboj’s four-wicket haul.
Resuming the day on 96 for 2, Vidarbha found themselves in trouble soon on Saturday. Within the first hour, both the overnight batters, Danish Malewar and Dhruv Shorey, along with Yash Rathod were sent back in the hut by Kamboj. Harsh Dubey and Akshay Wadkar made an effort to revive the innings, but once the former fell on 29, Vidarbha suffered another collapse.
Akshay Wadkar and Darshan Nalkande’s rearguard effort kept the Rest of India bowlers at bay for a while, but there was little growth visible on the scorecard, with Gurnoor Brar and Saransh Jain also returning a brace each.
Terrific start to the day from Anshul Kamboj 🔥
3⃣ wickets in his 3⃣ overs 👌
Vidarbha are 109/5!
