(Video) Hilarious mix-up at the One Day Cup is a scene straight out of a village game

In Durham’s Royal London One-Day Cup fixture with Hampshire, the hosts enacted a hilarious run out in which Felix Organ was sent back to the shed after what felt like hours of calls of “Yes!”, “Wait!”, “No!”, “er..maybe!”. The ball was slapped straight at point, with Organ coming down the wicket and eventually going back.

The point fielder than missed the stumps, with Organ seeing an opportunity for a single after all. That single was emphatically unavailable, as Tom Scriven was well aware of at the other end – he stood his ground as Organ found himself practically standing next to his batting partner as the bails were taken off. There is, it seems, still hope for our similarly disaster-strewn club-cricket careers.
