Too often we see hands on heads and sheepish faces as another catch goes down in the crowd, but there was no such disappointment at the men’s Hundred on Wednesday night as Leus du Plooy’s six was miraculously held on to.
The gentleman in the crowd had a lot of work to do, approaching the advertising board, setting himself, and taking it over the railings with fingers pointing down and eyes fixed on the ball. As the second Test against India begins, perhaps England’s fallible fielding unit could take note.
Come for the Leus du Plooy 6️⃣, stay for the brilliant catch by this lucky fan! 😲#TheHundred pic.twitter.com/iyLecnTqP1
