Hayley Matthews gave an inkling of her mood early into Welsh Fire’s chase of 167 with an audacious clout over wide long-off. Pouncing onto the width, she threw the kitchen sink at the lifter from Lauren Bell. However, Matthews couldn’t quite keep up with the burgeoning asking rate and ended up miscuing a good-length ball from Amanda-Jade Wellington to depart for a run-a-ball 18. Credit must go to Danielle Wyatt who steamed in to grab hold of a tough chance.
Welsh Fire need plenty more of this from @MyNameIs_Hayley if they’re going to win this one 🔥#TheHundred pic.twitter.com/hP21G3d2tC
