South Africa have won the toss and have opted to field in the opening T20I against India.
Pitch and Conditions: It is an overcast evening in Durban. There is a strong breeze going across the ground and the teams should be vary of that. The wicket is very hard and the ball is going to carry through nicely. I would prefer to bowl first and see if there’s any help for the pacers. And there’s a slight chance of rain later on, reckons Shaun Pollock.
No debut caps have been handed in the Indian camp as Ramandeep Singh, Yash Dayal and Vyshak Vijay Kumar will have to wait for their turn. Meanwhile, South Africa have a debutant in Andile Simelane. The 21-year-old fared well in the recent CSA T20 Challenge, picking 12 wickets in 6 games.
