Watch the wily Sai Kishore send Shashank Singh packing

R. Sai Kishore produced an exhibition of spin bowling on a conducive Mullanpur track, his four-fer limiting Punjab Kings to a lowly 142 before Rahul Tewatia applied the finishing touches to a chase that could have gone astray after a heap of wickets fell post PowerPlay during the chase.

The win was Titans’ fourth of the season and keeps them within touching distance of the playoff positions. The Kings, on the other hand, have now lost four of the five games they’ve played at home.

Brief scores: Punjab Kings 142 in 20 overs (Prabhsimran Singh 35; R. Sai Kishore 4-33, Noor Ahmad 2-20) lost to Gujarat Titans 146/7 in 19.1 overs (Rahul Tewatia 36*, Liam Livingstone 2-19) by 3 wickets.

What’s next for the teams?

Having wrapped up all their games at Mullanpur, PBKS next head to Kolkata to face hi-flying KKR on April 26. Gujarat Titans have a short turnaround and a shorter travel. They’ll face the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 24.
