Jasprit Bumrah’s performances have had a significant bearing on Mumbai Indians turning their fortunes around slowly in the Indian Premier League this year. Having tasted defeat in their first three games, MI have put their campaign back on track by winning their last two. Even though both the games have been high-scoring affairs, Bumrah has been the point of the difference. He has been the only bowler across teams in both these outings to concede less than six runs an over.
He ended up picking up his second five-fer in the history of the league to condemn RCB to another loss on April 11. Currently, the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, Bumrah is ahead of the pack by a mile given his economy rate is below six in an edition where bowlers have been subjected to a leather hunt. Bumrah has attributed his economical operation to his broad skillset and the amount of effort he puts in preparing himself for different challenges.
