On comeback trail, Archer traps KSCA batter in front of the stumps

Jofra Archer arrived in India as part of a 10-day training camp for County Championship side Sussex in Bengaluru. Another English club side, Lancashire, also landed foot in India’s southern metropolitan to fine-tune their preparation ahead of the upcoming County season. Both Sussex and Lancashire are expected to play a couple of practice games in Bengaluru before returning home.

On comeback trail after an annoying tryst with injuries, Archer claimed two wickets in the morning session and one of them saw the stumps take a beating. The fast bowler was looking in good rhythm as he ran in to bowl to his Sussex teammates.

Lot long back, Archer travelled as a reserve for the 2023 World Cup in India and the team physio tended to his injury. He picked 20 wickets for England in the 2019 edition of the marquee event, but has had a debilitating tryst with injuries which have rendered his promising career a start-stop affair.
