Lewis Gregory took a quite brilliant catch at extra cover off the bowling of Samit Patel to dismiss Colin Ingram in Sunday night’s Hundred clash between the Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets. The excellence of the take was ultimately in vain as the Rockets fell nine short of the Invincibles’ total of 125, but it is certainly worth admiring as one of the many world-class moments of the rain-affected evening.
Having impressed for England in their re-organised ODIs against Pakistan, Gregory is continuing to turn cricketing heads with his all-round class. He has captained the Trent Rockets to the top of the men’s Hundred table, the only two blips coming against the Invincibles and the Birmingham Phoenix.
