Jasprit Bumrah demonstrated his frightening ability yet again for India as he took 5-85 in England’s second innings during the first Test of the five-match series at Trent Bridge on Saturday. Bumrah’s five-fer added to his four wickets in the first innings to give the 27-year-old nine in the match.
Bumrah now averages the best part of 23 in his still-burgeoning Test career, and Saturday brought about the second occasion upon which he has found himself up on the Trent Bridge honours board, having achieved the feat on his first tour of England in 2018.
