Dom Sibley suffered an uncharacteristic lapse in concentration after battling for 132 balls to accrue 28 as he jabbed with hard hands at Jasprit Bumrah’s short of good-length inducker to perish nicking behind moments after Lunch.
The opener had played second fiddle to Joe Root in the morning session on day four at Trent Bridge to resurrect England’s innings in the company of his skipper after India removed Rory Burns and Zac Crawley cheaply within the first hour of play. Their partnership was worth 89, with the captain doing most of the heavy lifting.
