Watch every boundary from Dawid Malan’s sublime ton against New Zealand

Dawid Malan bossed the audition for the World Cup by dominating the run charts in the ODI series against New Zealand. As a result, the stylish southpaw was successful in claiming a berth at top of the order in the 15-strong squad for the marquee event.

Sunny blue skies above Lord’s welcomed England and New Zealand in the fourth ODI. Matt Henry and Tim Southee shared the new ball and Dawid Malan was up and running with an effortless cover drive. He transferred his weight into the good-length ball from Southee to pierce the gap between backward point and cover point. The hand-eye coordination was the hallmark of the sublime shot.

Dawid Malan fell prey to the nervous nineties in the third ODI against New Zealand even as Ben Stokes registered his fastest century in the ODI format of 76 balls. The opener was adamant to go past three figures this time around and went on to crack an impressive 127 which all but sealed his seat on the plane to India.
