USA leave out Corey Anderson from World Cup Qualifier Squad

Former New Zealand international Corey Anderson will miss the 50-over World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe next month after USA selectors chose to stick with the 14-man squad that toured Namibia in March. The 32-year-old all-rounder, who once held the record for the fastest ton in menโ€™s ODI cricket, became eligible for a USA call up earlier this year after he shifted base from Auckland to Dallas in March 2020.

While left-arm quick Abhishek Paradkar has been named the 15th man, USA selectors did not tinker with the squad that rallied to punch a ticket at the World Cup Qualifiers after an ordinary show in World Cup League 2.

USA are expected to leave on June 3 for a preparatory camp in Zimbabwe ahead of their all-important clash against the West Indies on June 18.

Squad: Monank Patel (c), Aaron Jones (vc), Steven Taylor, Gajanand Singh, Sai Teja Mukkamalla, Saurabh Netravalkar, Nisarg Patel, Kyle Phillip, Jasdeep Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, Usman Rafiq, Abhishek Paradkar, Ali Khan, Shayan Jahangir, Sushant Modani.
