The Board of Control for Cricket in India and Adidas have inked a multi-year partnership deal with the sportswear giant now set to be the official kit sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team. Adidas will now design and manufacture jerseys, kits and other merchandise for the senior Men’s, Women’s and U19 teams. This association will be mutually beneficial for both parties with Adidas expected to penetrate further into Indian markets given the far-sweeping reach that cricket provides.
The contract, which runs through to March 2028, will give Adidas exclusive rights for manufacturing kit across all formats of the game. The brand will be the sole supplier for all match, training & travel wear for the BCCI- including the men’s, women’s & youth teams. Starting June 2023, Team India will be seen in the three stripes for the very first time and will debut their new kit during the World Test Championship Final in London.
