Virat Kohli flicks Bhuvneshwar Kumar to rack up 6th IPL ton

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and asked Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. An explosive hundred by Heinrich Klaasen ushered the hosts to a competitive total of 186-5. However, a breathtaking performance by RCB openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis left the SRH bowling unit devoid of ideas as they raced home by eight wickets.

Mohammad Siraj was outstanding again with the ball for RCB. He finished with 1 for 17 in his four overs, but SRH’s innings was all about one man – Heinrich Klaasen. From his first ball – when he punched a back of a length delivery through the cover region, he looked head and shoulders above the rest in the lineup which has failed to click in unison.

As a result of the victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore remain in contention for the playoffs in Indian Premier League 2023. Despite being a star-studded franchise, they are yet to clinch the coveted silverware.
