Nehal Wadhera seals 200-chase with lusty blow over covers

Suryakumar Yadav scored a blistering 83 off 35 balls, while young Nehal Wadhera scored an unbeaten 52 off 34 balls as Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets. With this win, MI climbed up to the third spot with 12 points. Wadhera has scored 183 runs in six innings across nine matches in IPL 2023, including consecutive half-centuries in the most recent games.

The five-time champions chased down a 200+ total for the third time this season. The franchise finished the job with as many as 21 balls to spare on Tuesday.

Back in form, Suryakumar Yadav was the cynosure of all eyes as he pummeled Royal Challengers Bangalore into submission. He scored his third successive fifty at the Wankhede this season. The unorthodox right-hander and Nehal Wadhera were only dealing in boundaries at one point. Mumbai Indians were 141/3 after 13 overs. They needed only 59 to win from seven overs, and breached the steep target in a canter.
