Mumbai Indians on Saturday, April 29, confirmed that Jofra Archer visited Belgium for a “minor surgery”. Archer apparently went only for a day but head coach Mark Boucher wasn’t aware of the exact timing. Interestingly, when media reports surfaced about the Barbados-born English pacer’s Belgium trip for an elbow surgery, Archer took to social media to express his displeasure regarding the factual inaccuracies in the reportage.
Meanwhile, Boucher also stated that Archer is available for selection for the Saturday night game and his participation can influence the dynamics of the contest.
Archer, one of the leading quicks of world cricket, has punched below his weight in the IPL so far. He played just two of MI’s seven games managing just a solitary wicket this season. The franchise will be hopeful Archer leave an impact sooner than later as the tournament enters into the second half.
