Mumbai Indians pacer Arjun Tendulkar draws first blood

Arjun Tendulkar finally got a chance to don the blue of Mumbai Indians after a significant spell on the bench against Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2023. He bowled a thrifty first over, conceding just four runs. However, the second over marred his maiden appearance with Venkatesh Iyer taking the young left-arm on. From there onwards, the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has been a constant feature in the Mumbai Indians’ side, although he’s had a mixed bag of experiences in the few games he’s played.

There have been a few moments in the last couple of games in IPL 2023 that deserve a special mention.
A heated moment transpired during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians as Nitish Rana couldn’t suppress his emotions after Hritik Shokeen gave the KKR captain a send-off upon claiming his wicket. Rana didn’t mince his words as Suryakumar Yadav tried to pacify his opposite number.

Ajinkya Rahane intercepted a six in spectacular fashion to save precious runs for his side. He timed the jump to perfection to parry the ball back into play. CSK were thrust to their third-best IPL total by Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube before the bowlers tilted the game in Chennai’s favour at the death.
