Sunrisers Hyderabad opened their account by defeating Punjab Kings and went on to prevail over Kolkata Knight Riders. The franchise had prevented the wheels from veering further and eyed a glorious hat-trick as they hosted Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday. However, the five-time champions made it a hat-trick of their own as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs.

Mumbai Indians themselves had managed to put their campaign back on course by attaining consecutive victories. Like Sunrisers, they started off with two losses but the five-time champions found their mojo in the ensuing fixtures.

Ishan Kishan provided a fiery start along with captain Rohit Sharma against KKR and the duo will look to bat in the same aggressive vein. Suryakumar Yadav’s return to form is a promising sign for the franchise. After a string of poor performances, he hit a breezy 25-ball 43 in their win over KKR.
