Devdutt Padikkal, coming back into the side, and Jos Buttler, took on the spinners, targeting Mahesh Theekshana in particular, spanking him for 27 in two powerplay overs after Rajasthan Royals lost a couple of wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal started his innings on a promising note against Chennai Super Kings but the flamboyant opener holed out trying to go over the top early to take advantage of the powerplay. Sanju Samson was then castled for a duck by Ravindra Jadeja.
Rajasthan have scored at 9.5rpo in the powerplay, and if Buttler and Padikkal hang around, weβre in for a run-fest.
