Rashid Khan reclaims No. 1 T20I bowler ranking

Rashid Khan has usurped Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga at the top of the ICC T20I bowler rankings following his three wickets at less than a run a ball in Afghanistan’s historic 2-1 series win over Pakistan in Sharjah.

Fazalhaq Farooqi has made significant gains in the list, with the young pacer slotting at No. 3 on the T20I bowlers’ rankings after concluding the series against Pakistan as the leading wicket-taker for Afghanistan in the Pakistan series. Farooqi took five wickets and at an aggregate economy of 4.75 runs to climb 12 places in the rankings.

Rashid was No. 1 as recently as November last year, having consistently been one of the best in the T20I business since first reaching the zenith in February 2018.

Afghanistan sealed their maiden T20I series win over Pakistan, and another bowler to make an upward strides as a result was Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who jumped from No. 10 to No. 8 after taking two wickets each in the first and third game.
